Turned 4, and ready for more...

Joshua turned 4 on the 14th, but I wanted to wait and post until after the doctor appt. so I could give his stats and that wasn't until the 15th.

Weight: 34 1/2 lbs (30%)
Height: 42 1/4 in. (85%) This is probably not very accurate because he would not stand against the wall to be measured, so we had to lay him down on the table in the exam room and he was squirming all around, so the doctor said it wasn't a good measure, but close enough.

Joshua at 4 likes:
Trains, Lighting Mcqueen, playing outside, taking a bubble bath, being a helper, finger plays, singing, reading books, watching PBS kids, playing on the computer and being bossy.

Joshua at 4 does not like:

brushing his teeth, being told "no!", being woke up before he is ready, being covered up, wearing pants, eating dinner, when someone tries to help him, being cold, and change!

Joshua at 4 can:

Spell his name, recognize his name and other names, count to 49(the last 10 or so with coaching), can resite almost the whole "cat in the hat" book, take off his shoes, socks, and clothes without any assistance, take naps without a pull-up, take his plate to the sink when finished at the table, use the pedals on the tricycles at school, problem solve with the best of them and give the biggest bear hugs!

Joshua's Favorites at 4:

Milk, Chicken nuggets, steamed broccoli, apples, his blanket, quiet time with mommy or daddy, computer time, being independent and playing in his room.

So, there you have it, the highlights of Joshua! He is such a big boy and I can't believe he is already 4! We have been so blessed these past 4 years! Joshua, Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know!

Ready, Go, Playdoh

Joshua had a great birthday party this past Saturday! We had a play doh themed birthday party! He had friends and family come over to celebrate him turning 4! I decided that it would be best to have the play doh action in the garage, because I didn't really feel like having to pick play doh out of my carpet. It worked out really nice, because with the activity being in the garage it allowed more room around the table and living area for everyone else to visit. Joshua had such a good time playing with his cousins and friends! Towards the end of the party, he was pretty much done, so we didn't get to open any presents until later that afternoon. Which also worked out nicely. Over all I think the party went extremely well and everyone had a great time!

Sunday Funday

On Sunday we had a family fun day! Jason and Missy invited us to go with them to see a movie and look at lights in Belton (about 45 mins away). We shopped some sales before heading to the movie. We saw The Smurfs. It was a really cute movie. Joshua sat through the whole movie (YAY)! He got a little restless towards the end, but for the most part he sat there and watched it. A small bag of popcorn and blue icee helped I am sure. After the movie we went and looked at lights. This place was amazing! For 5.00 we were able to drive through the trail of lights and see some amazing displays. It took a good 30 mins to get to the end, where we then went inside a rec center to have some hot chocolate and cookies. We attempted Santa, but no luck. Joshua decorated a an elf hat and put the microphones to good use. He loved talking in them and also using them as a telescope. I posted some pictures below of the trail of lights. Enjoy!
