Bring On The Sappiness

Joshua has accumulated alot of stuff over the last 3 almost 4 years! There are toys that he doesn't play with anymore, shoes that are too small and clothes that are too tight. In fact between the clothes and shoes I have filled up 4, yes 4 plastic storage containers. I have been holding on to these for sometime. Over the past month or so, Dan and I decided that we would have a garage sale to get rid of some of the clutter in the house and make some money at the same time. Anyway, I was going through the containers of clothes and shoes that I have kept and man on man did I get a surprise! I didn't think how going through all those clothes would bring back a rush of memories and sweetness. I guess living in the moment makes you forget how tiny they once were. I pulled out onesies that he wore when he was just a couple of weeks old. It's funny how you forget, but then when you see a certain item, you immediately know exactly where you were and when it was. Most of the clothes did that for me! Brought me back almost 4 years. It is hard to believe that Joshua fit in something with a tag that said 0-3 months or even 12 months. He is almost 4 and like everyone says, I felt like I blinked and here we are. I am glad that I have pictures to look back on and have as memories. So, I thought I would share some random pictures of Joshua from infant to 2 yrs. Since these were the sizes I was going through this weekend. I am not sad that he is growing up, ok maybe just a little, but if he could slow down a little that would be great!

Seriously Cute Kid Right Here! 2yrs All of these items were in the containers!

1 year old sweet baby!

I know you are smiling while looking at this picture! Can't say I blame you! (7 months)

Big yawn for a 3 month old! Life is rough for a baby!

Joshua was "chill" from the day he was born! (1 month)

Labor Day Weekend in Pictures!

I think it is safe to say that things are starting to slow down over here! Our last set of visitors came over labor day weekend. Like I said in a previous post, this is a tradition that we do almost every year. There are 4 of us that have birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other, so we just all get together and celebrate. These are just some of the pictures that I took over the long weekend. It was a packed house, but everyone had a really good time, I think!

The traditional half choc and half vanilla cake that my mom always buys for everyone!

Jordan's birthday actually fell on Sunday, so she got to have a little party of her own!

I have no idea, but Joshua came out of his room dressed like this and I had to get a picture!

Joshua enjoyed pushing his cousin, Tenley, around on the her push toy! He did not enjoy Momma or Daddy holding Tenley or when Tenley wanted to explore his room with his stuff! Jealous much? He would talk to her from far away or when we were not holding her.

Papa Joe took the kids to the store to find some boxes. They made houses out of them! They played in the "houses" for hours!!! Papa Joe has some pretty creative ideas!

There also was alot of L-A-U-G-H-I-N-G!!! P.S. I love this picture!!

Aunt Krystal did a little baking with the kiddos!

Yep, this picture pretty much sums up our 4 day weekend! We sure had a blast, but this gang can sometimes leave you speechless(in a good way, of course)!!!

Over that 4 day weekend there were a lot of families that didn't have a chance to celebrate, because they were too busy evacuating from the wildfires that were burning all over central Texas. Most of these people have been left homeless and without anything! I ask that you pray for these familes and victims and all the volunteers and firefighters! My aunt's ranch in LaGrange was affected by these fires, but no one was hurt and their house was spared! My grandparents house was also spared by the fires that only had one pasture between them and the fire! Our families were lucky and are now safe, but thousands of families are not! Please continue to keep all the people in central Texas in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you!

What Color Is Your Tongue?

This little blue tongue is the product of white frosting being over taken by blue dye!! Why the stores must pour a whole bottle of food coloring in the frosting, I will never know, but it sure makes for one blue tongue and one happy little boy!! A little note: He licked off all the wonderful blue frosting and gave the cake part back to his Aunt Missy! He knows what the best part of a cupcake is!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!!! HOOK'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!
